About this artwork
I made this assemblage sculpture with elements from African soil. The lost wax bronze African woman is modeled by me. It is attached to a piece of wood. This was collected at one of the many wood markets in Ouagadougou where the firewood used to prepare family meals is sold. This piece of wood has not been modified. It presents the marks of time and the seasons, only the earth has been eliminated. On this wooden piece, red and black seeds (Cannonier)…
and a piece of plant fiber or “tapa” are integrated. Each element of this sculpture comes from Burkina Faso. The support is in painted steel. Weight of the work: 2kg
