About this artwork
In this sculpture, I fused wood, clay and salvaged objects to create a work that vibrates with energy and multiculturalism. The earth, adorned with handwritten symbols and bearing a human figure, bears witness to our diversity and unity. The organic materials add a touch of naturalness, recalling our intrinsic connection with the Earth. Each element is a celebration of beauty in recycling and reinvention. I created this assemblage sculpture with…
products, materials and objects salvaged for the most part, during my travels in Burkina Faso. The body of the sculpture is composed of a painted calabash on which I inscribed some African signs used for a very long time. Thus, I recall that writing coexisted with orality in Africa as on other continents. This work weighs 2kg.
