About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the essence of rebirth and resilience through the use of reclaimed materials. Assembling wood, plastic and found objects, I created a sculpture that speaks of transformation and beauty emerging from rejection. The vibrant color and flowers symbolize an indomitable spirit and renewing nature, adding an invigorating and optimistic energy to any domestic space.
This sculpture has a wooden structure on which I glued… leaves, flowers and a bird made of synthetic material. She holds in her hands a small curled up calabash collected in Burkina Faso which can evoke the state of our earth.
