About this artwork
"DO NOT SOAK" is a striking 5 ft x 4 ft art piece that intricately weaves vintage T-shirts around a sturdy wooden frame. This art piece skillfully explores the interplay between contemporary structure through a process of deconstruction and reconstruction. The artist, with great precision, disassembled the vintage T-shirts, carefully preserving their essence. These worn fabrics from the past were then expertly layered and draped inside the rectangular…
frame. Using house paint in a hue reminiscent of the Statue of Liberty, the artist further enhanced the artwork, infusing it with subtle nuances of color and texture.
