About this artwork
In this abstract work, I explored the juxtaposition of geometric shapes and vibrant colors. Using acrylic, I sought to capture a dynamic tension, a dialogue between harmony and conflict. Each shape represents an emotion, an idea, colliding or supporting each other. This composition is a visual journey, inviting the observer to reflect on the balance of contradictory forces in life.

Marcel Baugier is a painter and sculptor based in France whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, in Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. He describes his abstractions as not hiding anything and achieving beauty with little means. Baugier's artistic techniques are constantly evolving and he enjoys frequently switching mediums. His expression takes form through acrylics on canvas, silkscreen printing, enamels on lava stone, as well as enameled ceramics.
