Two people walking on a dike between the meadows. But all you see are their shadows... Besides trees and foliage, shade is something that fascinates Marcel enormously. He almost never directly paints people on his canvases. If there are people in his paintings, then he shows at most their shadow. This leaves something for the imagination.
