The light playing thru the young leaves of this Catalpa tree made the leaves look like glowing lights. This painting is a fine example of the artist's fascination with trees and foliage. The play between light and dark, caused by sun and shadow, continues to be intriguing. Marcel usually paints on 3D canvas, but this work is painted on normal canvas.
