These floating flowers aim to embrace the dancing couple, thus romanticizing the underlying overt sexuality of the dance between two people. At the same time a dance and flowers are characterized by an ephemeral quality. The peony flower on the left is a soft frame and reinforces the timeless quality…

Marcella Lassen is an experienced artist based in Switzerland whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Germany and Austria.
