About this artwork
In my wood sculpture, I tried to evoke, with flowing forms, Andromache, wife of Hector, who is depicted in the Iliad as a faithful and affectionate wife and to remember the natural resilience of her spirit. The use of wood, a humble but living material, aims to tell stories of tenacity and grace under the pressure of adversity. Every curve and hollow is a testament to interconnected organic beauty and the ongoing struggle for growth.

Marco Bettocchi, painter and sculptor, ingeniously manipulates oil colors and varieties of wood. He uses abstract expressionist techniques with a unique fusion of fabrics and paint, creating a 'Caravaggesque environment'. His works evoke emotional involvement, mixing the social, the abstract and the discovery.
