Marco Sassone is an Italian artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited widely in both nations, as well as in Canada and Japan. With an artistic career that began in the 1960s, he was originally inspired by the 19th-century Italian impressionists. In 1982, Sassone was knighted by the President of Italy for his contributions to the world of art and received the “Order of the Merit of the Italian Republic”.
