Glass sheets in shades of blue, from silver leaves scratched with a steel tip and painted with high temperature colors. All enclosed in a crystal glass plate, to keep the precious leaf unaltered. The painting is ready and I put it in the oven where it reaches the melting temperature of 780 degrees and very slowly cools down with a cycle of approximately 20 hours. I finally have the glass in my hand ready to be finished through the cold grinding process and to be framed.

My visions, the means to evoke the soul and spirit of matter
Marco Scaramuzza, a multifaceted artist and master glassmaker, merges his love for Murano glass with his training as a painter. In addition to painting, he uses the techniques of glass fusing, lampwork and graffiti, enriching many of his works with precious silver leaves which become the canvas for his paintings. Each work evokes the soul and spirit of the material, capturing the gaze with its brilliance and its infinite reflections.
