Marcos Terol is a Spanish painter based in Málaga whose work is part of international collections. After studying art in Madrid, he began his professional career in 2012 and, since then, has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in expressionism and figuration.
Her artistic practice is articulated through an expressionist and figurative language that addresses history, culture, and identity as fundamental conceptual forces. The incorporation of cultural, literary, and artistic references is a recurring strategy that fosters dialogues between different eras, geographies, and traditions.
Using oil paint, collage, and occasionally pastel, Terol constructs surfaces where layers, textures, and fragments coexist, expanding the pictorial field into a hybrid territory between the classical and the contemporary.
