About this artwork
The image contains a meta-image visible under ultraviolet light. This is an aviation-themed picture. Inspired by aviation technology and a fascination with aerodynamics. Old planes have a soul. They show the spirit of old designers. Airplanes are not only beautiful, but brilliant in their simplicity. The shape of the wings, steering and motors, each of these elements is unique. Freedom, independence and strength.
This painting, in its beginnings,… was based on ontological dualism, thanks to which, the final essence is full, and the balance between the spirit and the body was kept. Of course, in this matter we have to paraphrase – using artistic nomenclature, we should say: the balance between skills and idea.
The composition is based on the grid of the golden ratio, with the result that the proportions are pleasant. What we feel intuitively as “good/pleasant proportions” results from the Fibonacci sequence, which, when written formally loses some of its intuitiveness.

Marek Pękacz is a Polish artist whose paintings are created in a photorealistic style combined with spatial fractal structures. He believes that art is an auto-imperative of creation. In Pękacz's compositions, some of the content is hidden in the form of a meta picture painted in ink that is only visible only under UV light. He also employs symbols, binary or text, employing letters from an alphabet that he has created.
