Marella Hesseling (NL, 1980) is a Dutch abstract artist creating layered paintings that balance texture, contrast and refinement. Inspired by nature, travel and personal observations, she explores the tension between structure and freedom, calmness and movement.
Using custom-mixed paints and pigments, Marella builds rich surfaces where matte areas, golden or metallic accents and texture interact with changing light. Alongside her atmospheric works, she develops conceptual pieces that explore themes such as control, chaos and human behaviour.
