Choosing The Path came from a morning of unease, not crisis, just the specific weight of things unresolved. The only answer was to make space and begin.
Yellow, red, and orange arrive with real presence in the upper field. A grey-green band moves horizontally through the mid-canvas, cooler and more considered. A deep aubergine rectangle anchors the lower centre. Orange and blush move broadly through the lower field. Pencil lines loop through the… entire surface, continuous and searching, the record of a hand that kept moving even when the mind didn't know where it was going.
The painting does not depict a resolution. It is one.
