WineArt
Margarethe von Billow's globally unique "WineArt" has created over 100 works of modern and contemporary art, encompassing all their socio-cultural facets within the context of the societal and digital transformations of our time. Her experimental,… innovative, and progressive creation process involves adapting diverse discarded materials and media from the wine industry and vinification, either within or as artworks. The filter layer and the lees sediment from disgorging champagne and sparkling wine production serve as materials for expressing novelty.
"WineArt" is inspired by everything from Pinot Gris to the delicate rosé color of Gewürztraminer must as a typical characteristic before fermentation.
Margarethe von Billow is a versatile designer, painter, photographer, illustrator, and digital artist. An academically trained economist, she worked as a manager in the private sector and international show business. Her artistic journey began in early childhood. Her father taught her perspective and representational drawing. Her mother, the family's interior designer, secured her first commissions, and the human body and nude became the subjects of her art. Many commissions followed, initially for regional clients, then for international clients, VIPs, and the entertainment industry. She works experimentally with acrylics, oils, photography, mixed media, and NFT technologies, developing her own innovative techniques and art forms such as MosaicArt, LifeArt, and WineArt, and is a recipient of industry awards. Her style ranges from figurative to abstract, connecting social, economic, and environmental themes—a truly immersive experience for the viewer.
