About this artwork
Diptych "Mermaid" and "The Red Sea". Each work is 80x60 (plus frame) and is made in the author's technique using acrylic and watercolor pencils, and is covered with varnish. It is a completely handmade work. The ends of the work are an extension of the painting. Each work is framed in a custom handmade frame, which is also an extension of the painting. These works are part of the "Hide and Seek" series, which explores the issue of voluntary mimicry… that we encounter in modern society. We're forced to play roles, but a part of us always remains hidden, reserved for ourselves.
« Art is the key to understanding the world. By creating a new one, we make it possible to doubt the existing systems, thereby expanding the boundaries of our soul. »
