About this artwork
On a table on the terrace that day, the sun was shining brightly. I "dreamed" of the ocean. I had a sudden, overwhelming urge to paint blue in all its shades. I needed water to refresh myself and imagined my feet in the water.
It is this need for freshness and the memories of swimming in the waters of "my Normandy", the English Channel,
which emanate from this painting, so light and airy.
This work is therefore dominated by shades of blue, ranging… from turquoise to cobalt.
Touches of white and gold bring light and contrast. The paint is worked in layers, creating effects of transparency and layering using acrylic spray paint. This is what gives "Blue Depth" its ethereal style, essential here to express water evaporating in the heat. The brushstrokes are visible, dynamic, and varied. This artwork evokes a soothing world, close to water and dreams, which would be perfectly suited to a pastel-toned interior.
Marguerite MADO is a self-taught painter, introduced to art in England, who works primarily with acrylics. She experiments with broad strokes, incorporating relief and curves, creating abstract works where vibrant colors harmonize. Her art conveys a tremendous positive energy, capturing hope, love, escapism, and warmth in paintings brimming with life. Marguerite MADO doesn't have a studio: she paints in a small studio in the Paris region where the constraints of limited space paradoxically fuel her inspiration and creativity. She is contemplative of life's most beautiful offerings: moments filled with flavor and shared experiences. She uses paint and its accessories thoughtfully and sustainably. Far from the clichés of the solitary artist, this epicurean painter will dazzle you with her vibrant colors! Through her paintings, she shares her soul, her story, and her memories.
