About this artwork
With this drawing I wanted to show the contrast between the gray, inert everyday life and the vibrant life outside — between stagnation and freedom, between “functioning” and truly living.
The monochrome figure symbolizes recurring thoughts, routine, and the feeling of sometimes being stuck in one's own world. In contrast, the colorful nature outside the window represents life, movement, freedom, and all the little moments that await us beyond… our familiar surroundings.
Sometimes we forget how big the world actually is. We spend days within the same walls, with the same thoughts and the same routine — and don't even realize how quiet we become.
Through the deliberate combination of black and white and color, I wanted to make precisely this tension visible: between security and new beginnings, between habit and life.
