About this artwork
This Parisian memory captured the true "sparkle" that is Paris at night. Sharing this memory with my family, this was the first time all of us had been to Paris and it did not disappoint. We were enamored and blown away that we had the opportunity to see The Eiffel Tower in real life, and for all of us we were happily pleased by its beauty. Plus seeing all of the boats coast by on the Seine and hearing beautiful music made this memory even more surreal.… This drawing is the perfect window to take you right into the heart of Paris, while hanging in your home.
A graduate of West Virginia University, Maria Deely masterfully employs color pencils to create stunning photorealistic drawings. Her style encapsulates an appreciation of the world around her, reflecting intimate, immersive experiences of different cultures and landscapes. Deely's pieces convey a profound sense of stillness, urging viewers to bask in the evoked warmth, beauty and intricate diversity of our world despite her battle with chronic illness.
