About this artwork
"Anger and Fury" is an oil on canvas work measuring 30 cm (width) x 39.9 cm (height) x 1.5 cm (depth). It is an energetic and intensely expressive abstract painting, in which the artist channels strong emotions through color and pictorial gesture.
The work is characterized by vigorous brush strokes and overlapping layers of color, distributed in an apparently chaotic but harmonious way. Bright shades of red, green, yellow, blue and white dominate,… spread with great impetus, perhaps with a spatula or impasto technique, which give the surface a material and dynamic consistency.
The reds and blacks suggest anger and tension, while the greens and yellows create violent contrasts that evoke emotional instability. The alternation of areas of greater chromatic density with other lighter or more transparent ones, combined with sharp cuts and diagonal directions, gives a sense of constant movement, like an explosion held on the canvas.
