In my art I use oil and pigments to create a work that combines expressionism, realism and semi-abstract elements. The human figure is in the foreground, with the play of shapes and colors evoking vivid emotions. It is an intense look at the facets of human nature and creates an energetic ambience in any room in which it is presented.

Maria Turel, a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, uses oil paints with layers and contrast to sharpen her realistic vision. Inspired by old masters, she fuses modern realism with contemporary romanticism; their color sensitivity creates a magical atmosphere. Her works reflect a melancholic search, embodied by female inner worlds and nature as a silent witness.
