About this artwork
WHATEVER operates within a space of openness, possibility, and trust. The work represents the willingness not to know or control everything in advance, but rather to perceive what emerges and how something develops step by step.
This artwork features multiple layers of paint, pronounced relief structures, and shimmering accents of gold, copper, silver, and neon. Depending on the angle of the light, different layers, colors, and light reflections… emerge, giving the work a constantly changing appearance.
The multi-layered and expressive surface unfolds its effect particularly well in open, clear rooms with plenty of light.

For Maria Weigt, the creative process is a continuous dialogue with the present moment. Her works spring from pure intuition and a deep trust in the creative flow.
The artist understands the canvas as a space of absolute freedom, guided by the rhythm of the "now".
Layer by layer, works emerge that are not planned, but discovered. Color, structure, and material interact, leaving traces of their own development. The canvas becomes a place where hidden worlds overlap. Often, the true meaning of a painting only becomes apparent later.
For Maria Weigt, this is where the power of painting lies: in not knowing and in the moment when something becomes visible that previously had no words.
Her works are visual invitations to look beneath this multifaceted surface. They open spaces for resonance and invite viewers to encounter their own inner transformation.
