About this artwork
In this piece, I've melded rich, earthy tones through oil, wax, and pastel, creating a textured depth that invites introspection. There's a certain warmth that radiates from the canvas, an abstract yet deeply personal narrative. Each stroke carries an emotion, inviting the observer to connect with their own experiences. Hanging in your space, it's intended to evoke a sense of solace and the profound beauty of mystery.

« Brush in hand and freedom of imagination...can't get better than that! »
Through her abstract compositions, Marian Davis's goal is not only to draw the viewer into her paintings but to create engaging works that are revisited "time and again". Originally, the American artist turned to painting as a way of releasing the stress of an intensive career in pediatric critical nursing. Beginning with decorative works, she has also explored botanical art and illustration. Davis' artistic journey has led her towards abstraction, and the art which she has always hoped to create.
