Mariana Ionita is a Romanian-Austrian artist who started training when her childhood teacher noticed she had a photography memory and visual mind. Mainly devoted to graphite and pencil work, she composes engrossing drawings that explore themes of children, language and dreams, as well as film-like memory fragments from her own past.
