During the rehearsals of a youth orchestra in the middle of July, the cellist took off her shoes.

Technique: painted with a personal technique, using highly pigmented colored inks and Venetian glass calligraphy pen and brushes on Arches 300gr paper.
The artwork is signed.
The painting is not framed, nor is it ready to hang. The frames that might show in the photos serve as an example of what the painting could look… like framed and are not included.

Marianne Gabriel is an experienced artist based in Greece whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Italy, France, and England. She describes the themes in her works as emerging from the world we live in, translated into formal energy. In her artistic practice, Gabriel does not aim for total abstraction, but rather, a kind of subtraction whereby repeated removals lead to a re-creation or a rediscovery of reality.
