About this artwork
In the work I created, I sought beauty in simplicity. The image of a pencil on a paper surface draws attention to the creative potential that resides in the most everyday of tools. It represents the beginning of every work of art, the invitation to express oneself, to write one's own story, to draw one's own dreams. The energy that this image brings into a home is that of possibility and inspiration.
