In this artwork, I've entwined bees wax and ink to evoke a tapestry of emotions. It's a visual symphony that sings of resilience in the chaos, harmonizing hues and textures that resonate with the soul. Each stroke is intentional, fuelled by a raw, electric energy that seeks to invigorate any space it inhabits. Through abstraction, I invite observers to find their own echoes within the vibrant layers, empowering personal interpretation and connection.

Marie-Danielle Leblanc is a prize winning Canadian artist with international exposure. With an eye towards environmentalism, Leblanc work with encaustic, an ancient technique using molten beeswax and pigments — the same process the Greeks and Egyptians used over 2,000 years ago. Some of their encaustic paintings, like the Fayum portraits, are still perfectly vibrant today. Her work continues this tradition, but with a contemporary vision. When you collect an encaustic painting, you’re not only acquiring art, you’re investing in something proven to last for millennia — timeless, natural, and beautiful.
