I painted this like a little escape… maybe even a rebellion.
A place where people walk without fear. Where laughter replaces headlines. Where conversations are light, kind, and real. You see people everywhere—moving, connecting, living—not divided, not angry… just human.
There’s no noise of politics here. No war breaking the silence. No judgment in the air. Just colors, movement, and that simple feeling of being happy to be alive.
I didn’t paint… perfection. I painted a wish.
Because sometimes, I catch myself imagining this kind of world… and then I smile and think, oh! Wake up Marie… you’re dreaming.
But maybe… a little dreaming is exactly what we need.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
