About this artwork
This painting belongs to a series that began in Madrid in 1987 and continues until 1989 in Mallorca, where in contact with the Mediterranean light it will begin its evolution to another stage. At this stage the painter immerses herself in her inner world, intimate painting, chromatically in blues. Emphasizes the use of glazes with which she recreates the imaginary world that the artist has created, strong, lonely women who inhabit the bottom of the… sea, sunken cities
Oil painting on canvas, measures 50 high X 60 cm long. It was made in Madrid in 1987 and represents a bather inside a fish tank resting her hand on the glass surrounded by fish and starfish.
The fish are made with metallic paint.
« Throughout my career, I have evolved through different stages, between new figuration and magicical realism, but always through my own style. »
