About this artwork
In this work, I have fused cubism with metaphysical touches to capture the transitory essence of light at dusk over a geometric setting. I used oil to bring to life the shapes and colors that intersperse and expand towards the horizon, invoking a sense of infinity and calm. Marietta Negueruela is an experienced artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and France. Her most recent works revolve around the landscape and are inspired by metaphysics, the Renaissance, and geometric forms. Color also plays a fundamental role in Negueruela's artistic practice. She primarily creates with watercolors, acrylics, and oils.
