About this artwork
This painting is part of what the author calls a portrait of an artist or the artist's wishes.
This work represents the painter painting watercolors on the beach of San Lucar de Barrameda.
Fresh, happy and summery work.
The mastery of light and color can be seen using a surprising range of blues.
This series of paintings are made between 2017 and 2018 and are based on desire, longing and the need for the color blue, painted by instinct and… pleasure and the need to escape to those paradises in which the contemplation of the sea produces an effect beneficial for the soul. The sea etched in the retina of my years lived on the shores of the Mediterranean.
These paintings can be included in the so-called “New Magical Realism”.
« Throughout my career, I have evolved through different stages, between new figuration and magicical realism, but always through my own style. »
