About this artwork
I came across that glamorous photo of Diana Ross from the seventies at some point, and years ago I already recreated this image as an etching. It still fascinates me.
I deliberately chose a color contrast between the warm tones of the face and the cold tones of the background.
It reflects the pop culture of the seventies, but at the same time it feels modern.
