About this artwork
Acrylic, mineral pigments, 3D sculptural relief, premium resin on professional canvas 50 × 50 cm (canvas) — 51 × 51 × 6 cm (with black USBox floating frame) Unique work 51 × 51 × 6 cm.In “Lunar Mineral”, Maria Ruisi reduces her visual language to its most essential form: a single sphere, a single ground, a single opposition of white matter against absolute black. The sphere is built entirely by hand — hundreds of individual mineral-textured relief… elements, each shaped and placed over multiple studio sessions, accumulating into a form of extraordinary physical density and quiet power.
Maria Ruisi (b. 1983, Riga, Latvia) is the founder and artistic director of Abstract Art Gallery, with studios in Riga and a curatorial presence in Paris. Her works are held in private collections across Europe, the Middle East and North America. Includes: Hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity · Lifetime Gallery Guarantee · worldwide insured shipping · Black USBox floating frame included
Born in Riga in 1983, Maria Ruisi is an artist, researcher and artistic director of the Abstract Art Gallery, founded in 2010. Her practice is rooted in sculptural abstraction — a multi-stage process combining acrylic, resin, and metallic pigments in three-dimensional relief. Each work is born from rigorous research into material, depth, and spatial perception. Trained in fine arts and interior design, she has been developing a unique visual language for fifteen years: surfaces that breathe, forms that command silence. His works are integrated into contemporary residences, architectural spaces and private collections across Europe and the world. Every day, new works are born in his Riga studio.
