About this artwork
It was one of those beautiful days at Sonner in Hamburg, and I made my way to Blankenese. Blankenese is an upscale district in Hamburg, located right on the water. It feels like being by the sea here. Then I noticed more and more very chic people dressed in white arriving from all directions, bringing chairs, tables, dishes, food, and balloons. They came from all directions, down the stairs, or across the water in their private boats. There was a…
very festive atmosphere in the air as they gradually set a beautifully decorated, long, white table. That's when I realized this must be a White Dinner. Because the group was so solemnly engaged with one another, I was able to get relatively close to take this photo.
