About this artwork
Iris is a symbol of the rainbow and peace
Bright soft iris petals, shimmering with different colors, are dedicated to the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris. Iris is a messenger from heaven, transmitting news to people from the Olympian gods, flying so fast that a mere mortal can only see the rainbow light from her flight.
The appearance of a rainbow after a thunderstorm, against the background of a peaceful nature, together with the sun, made it… possible to interpret this phenomenon of nature as a symbol of peace. Therefore, the iris flower is associated with peace, freshness of perception, radiance and exultation, hope for a better future, purification and transformation of consciousness.
The picture is painted with acrylic paints and oil pastels on a stretched canvas 50*70 cm. I use high-quality materials that do not deteriorate with time. Ready to hang.
