About this artwork
Soil, minerals, sands, the smallest particles of life ... As monumental and static a mountain may appear, it grinds over the millions of years and silted up. It has no hold. It is ground to dust, or washed out in ever wider and deeper gorges. Wind and rain as silent, steady tools. It flows and melts away in unimaginable lava heat, or shifts in whole plates through the tectonics of powerful eruption. Mountains in change - in exactly this way.
And… if you take a look into the macrocosm, there are still - lost and without determination - countless boulders that have not been found in the many millions of years and formed into planets.
All stones have one thing in common: they carry the origin of all life within themselves, are malleable and changeable despite their supposed inertia and heaviness. My attention is paid to the erratic boulders. They are the stage between dust and monument.
« Art is the highest form of transformation - change is the deepest meaning of art. »
Marion Doxie Delaubell is an established German painter with national and now international renown. Her works are admired by admirers and collectors in Germany, the Netherlands, France, England, the USA, as far afield as Hong Kong and Japan. Fascinated by coexistence and the eternal cycle of becoming and passing away, by the infinitely small within the infinitely large, she primarily composes floral, semi-abstract works that are both concrete and openly incomplete. Her works are always elegant and a sensitive homage to all being. Her works encourage every viewer to join her interdisciplinary search for the deepest core in all things.
