Marion Fuchs, a self-taught artist with a background in art history, works primarily with acrylic and oil paints on canvas. Her impressionistic, sketch-like style is characterized by quick, short brushstrokes, a reduced palette, and strong contrasts of color and light; she also sometimes incorporates text from literature or music. Her works capture fleeting, dynamic moments of everyday life and convey a special lightness and sensual vibrancy that emotionally resonates with the viewer.
