About this artwork
In this work, I have captured the essence of impermanence and abandonment through the symbolic play between worn shoes and bare feet, firmly planted but rooted in dust. I used oil paint to provide depth and emotion, reflecting resistance in the face of adversity and the inevitable march of time. This piece evokes reflection and adds a touch of melancholy and raw beauty to any space, inviting the viewer to contemplate untold stories of resistance… and oblivion.
Marisol Cardona Sánchez, painter, draftsman and sculptor, trained at the Fine Art Educational Institution. With a conceptual style, he uses earth and oil colors to bring his ideas and thoughts to life, trying not to go over too much with the brush, creating touches in different directions. His works are infused with intense emotions and social discourses, seeking to express the unspeakable with shapes and colors that touch the heart.
