About this artwork
This is a painting from my big solo show at KHÅK Kunsthall in Ålesund Norway, Nov-Dec 2019. The overall theme of the exhibition called Utspring, are childhood memories. I am further exploring a free and expressive approach to the abstract painting by deliberately trying to erase the blurry line between conscious and subconscious.

Marit Geraldine Bostad is a Norwegian abstract colourist whose work has been exhibited internationally and most recently selected for the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize shortlist. Geraldine’s paintings investigate themes such as the inner psyche, nature and memory, expressed as pure abstraction through her unique approach to the Nordic colour tradition.
