About this artwork
In my work I fuse acrylic and oil to create a semi-abstract representation of the sea. Through visible brush strokes and the layering of colors I convey the power and calm of the water. A composition in cool blue tones that captures the vastness and infinity of the horizon and creates an atmosphere of contemplation. This painting will bring a calming energy to any home.

Marius Singer is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Germany whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in France and Belgium. He qualifies his abstractions as being the result of a continuous process characterized by "becoming and passing, as well as impulsiveness and contemplation". Singer's painterly compositions are created in layers through which the colors change from "level to level". He creates using acrylics and oils on cardboard and canvas.
