About this artwork
In 2023 I started working on my flower collection. Flowers always fascinated me with their distinctive colours and shapes. Roses are my favourite flowers and I am growing a few varieties in my garden. When it is summer you would find me in my garden with a camera - taking pictures, in front of my easel or with a spade and watering can. Gardening fills me with joy, while painting is almost a meditation.
Iris Benton Menace captured my attention while… I was visiting Beth Chatto Garden. Unique purple colouring of the flower made a great impression on me. Beautifully shaped petals were dancing in the breeze, creating a sense of movement and joy. I hope my painting is expressing my admiration for iris in full.
Nature's wonders are an endless source of inspiration for me. I strive to freeze their beauty in time, to be able to share these magical moments with the viewer.
