About this artwork
I am a passionate gardener and looking after flowers in my garden brings me great joy. I feel strong connection with nature. It's beauty provides plenty of inspiration for my art.
Diamond Wedding Rose is one of my favourite roses. I have been photographing beautiful white blooms every year until I found a perfect moment and the most beautiful bloom. Natural sunlight is beautifully lighting the centre of the rose, creating magical glow in it’s centre.… I can almost feel a sweet fragrance.
I painted the rose with acrylics on canvas. There are three layers of colour to achieve the most vibrant colours. The final artwork is varnished with gloss varnish.
