About this artwork
This small work is a study on light on an abstract landscape. Made on a wooden panel where in the central part the background of the wood comes out removing layers of color creating a scratched and material effect. Then inserted inside a wooden frame and applied on top a layer of transparent resin that creates a particular visual effect between the various reflections

Marjan Fahimi is a prizewinning Iranian painter born in Tehran. She currently lives and works in Rome. In her latest works Fahimi uses a more abstract approach, focusing on the main elements that characterize the poetics of the landscape. Painting with oil on wood, her works use solid natural hues to create calm, compelling compositions.
