“Golden Iris” può rappresentare un iride ma allo stesso tempo ricorda anche un fiore. Mi ha sempre affascinato l’occhio, l’organo con la quale osserviamo il mondo che ci circonda e percepiamo il suo cambiamento ma allo stesso tempo il mondo si riflette nel nostro sguardo come in uno specchio. In questo lavoro ho fatto diventare la pupilla uno specchio nero con l’utilizzo della resina dove al suo interno si può osservare se stessi e il mondo in un… reciproco sguardo. Intorno alla pupilla diversi strati di resina e pigmenti e colori oro e rame ricreano le venature di un iride dorato con effetto rilievo. Questo quadro anche nella sua forma tonda ricorda il cerchio della vita e il cicli della natura.
