Presence represents an abstract landscape where flashes of light illuminate the waves of the sea and the flags moving in the wind. it seems to be waiting for something or someone who is about to arrive, a presence that is sensed not in its physical form but in the atmosphere of the work. the intense yellow color is made even deeper with the use of epoxy resin. the work is framed with a brass band that floods the wall with golden reflections.

Marjan Fahimi is a prizewinning Iranian painter born in Tehran. She currently lives and works in Rome. In her latest works Fahimi uses a more abstract approach, focusing on the main elements that characterize the poetics of the landscape.
