About this artwork
In creating this piece, I embraced a burst of passion, overlaying vibrant hues and spirited strokes to stir joy and curiosity. The vibrant yellow foundation sets a cheerful tone while the sweeps of blue and red evoke a dynamic dance of emotions. This monotype is an expression of energy, a conversation between colors that invites the viewer into a space of reflection and delight. It's a harmonious infusion of fine, pop, and oriental art influences,…
converging into abstract beauty. Witnessing it daily in your home, expect a rejuvenating spark that ignites creativity and brightens your surroundings with an effervescent charm.

« Change is inevitable and something I seek. »
American painter Mark Erickson was first inspired to paint by his grandmother, who was an artist herself. He has since exhibited in major cities across the United States. Erickson works with acrylic on canvas or wood, and sometimes adds additional collage elements. Inspired by literature, comics, and music, his artistic process is like a dance- constantly changing and full of spontaneity. Erickson's abstract expressionist works are bright, atmospheric, and humorous.
