About this artwork
This painting is a plein air study that I did for a larger studio work. It was inspired by the Barnegat Bay commercial fishing fleet harbored in Barnegat Light, New Jersey's Viking Village. Viking Village is one of the largest, if not the largest, fishing fleets on the USA east cost. The fish caught by this fleet are shipped around the world.
