We are what we consume, we are made up of culture, art, visual images, slogans heard and words read. We assemble ourselves from these outer elements, covering the inner darkness. But do all these elements come together into something whole? Or are we just a bunch of poorly connected pieces?
In the "Metamodernity" series, I was interested in expressing modern reality and tried… to define what a person is within it.

Mark Kucherov is a painter and draftsman based in Russia whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. In his compositions, he explores the themes of human manifestation, self-expression, individuality, and psychological freedom. In addition, Kucherov endeavors to convey the relationship between the external cultural world and the internal psychological experience of liberation.
