About this artwork
When creating an abstraction, I often focus on a single word. In this piece, "filigree" guided the layering of paint in a chaotic dance of arabesques. I deliberately subverted the expectation of orderly, fancy ornamentation, inviting the viewer to explore a shallow lattice of unique marks, as if an elegant design were randomly disintegrating, consumed by flame.
The canvas, built through multiple layers of scraping and sanding, is gallery-wrapped… on a smooth birch ply panel using neutral pH PVA adhesive, which is then mounted to heavy-duty stretchers.
A Natural Maple Canvas Float Frame from the American Frame Company is available, or the work can be displayed unframed, as the edges are painted. Please allow an additional 5-7 days for delivery if framing is selected.

Each work is examined for color fidelity, hand-signed, and numbered by me personally. I then assemble a custom 'Care Kit' for the collector, including a detailed explanation of the work and a Certificate of Authenticity.
This meticulous process adds approximately 7–10 days to the delivery timeline, but it ensures that the work you receive meets the highest professional standards of the fine art market.
